I was extremely surprised at how much I enjoyed this book! This beautifully written story starts off like a light read about Jess and her son visiting Adam, her ex, but the story takes you on an emotional roller coaster as it turns to focus on illness, secrets, and grief. I appreciated the research the author did for the book, too. I also thought all the characters were well-developed/realistic and likeable which made this book even harder to put down.

Overall, a charming and touching story about love on all levels, whether it's with a partner, family, or friends. It makes you appreciate all the good you have in your life.
