I want to preface this review by saying I really did love Serpant & Dove and will 100% be reading Gods & Monsters.

I think my expectations were too high for this sequel. I love Lou and Reid was always annoying but thats what I enjoyed about his chapters. In this story though, Reid was just so wishy washy and and I had a few too many head scratching moments because it just did not make sense. Then there was a scene with Lou and Coco that just didn't sit well with me. I think this book would have been greatly improved if there was more Coco, Ansel and Beau because I couldn't handle reid and his superiority complex.

Middle books are tough. There were definitely great moments and it did have an interesting ending.
