Haunt Sweet Home by Sarah Pinsker

1.5

'If Uncle AJ hadn't screwed up Thanksgiving, I would never have learned to haunt houses.'

My favorite thing about this book is the beautiful cover. It's definitely not the light horror that I was expecting. Mara fake haunts on set of a ghost hunting/home makeover TV show. It got tiresome waiting for something truly spooky to happen, something to haunt the haunter. It's dull and colorless, mostly uneventful, but blessedly short.

'I was still trying to figure out how much of the show was scripted or contrived, though it was becoming clear that if a property didn't have a built-in ghost story already, it would have one soon enough.'
