Dark romance so as normal, check Trigger Warnings. (Ask for specifics or check them out yourself!)
I don't know what it is lately, but writing styles have really been getting to me. There was something about how this was written that... confused me at times and made the story disjointed. This is completely my opinion and really is probably just a me problem. I just felt like I missed parts of the story that would make it flow from scene to scene OR I missed interactions that would of made relationships make more sense in my head. Besides my own issues, I really enjoyed where this book took me.
Mara is crazy and I love her for it. I can't believe that she survived her crazy ordeal at the beginning of the book. She's a fighter and I can't wait to see where she will go from here. Cole is also crazy (I mean.. being a stalker/murderer will give you that label pretty early on) and he makes me just laugh. His inability to understand that Mara makes him FEEL for once in his life is just a chaotic fun mess to watch unfold.
I'm ready for these two in part 2 and to see where we go with Shaw. Definitely a fun, wild read.
