The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic
5.0
4.5
“I will ask you only once to tone down that animosity.”
“I can’t,” Neil said. “I have a bit of an attitude problem.”
Hello, you must be my new obsession.
*worships Nora Sakavic*
I absolutely adored this book.
I loved the characters, the setting, Exy.
I couldn't stop reading, I needed to know what was going to happen next.
All the intrigue, the vibe, the crazy situations and dark atmosphere, the very messed up and sometimes terrifying characters.
Neil, the protagonist, is a complicated guy.
His past, his parents, his appearence, his age, his name, even his behavior... are all a lie.
I immediatly rooted for him, with his bad attitude, his anger issues, his clever mind.
We get to know him throughout the book and my heart hurt for him.
I wanted to see him succed, win, survive.
And I cannot wait to know how his story will continue.
Andrew was an equally complicated character.
Mad, messed up, terrifying, with or without his drugs.
I really struggled to understand his motives, his weird friendships and relationships.
But I was so intrigued by him.
"Andrew's lot" were equally interesting.
Nicky, extrovert and fun, Aaron, Andrew's apathic twin, Kevin, with his damaged hand and broken past.
I also adored the other characters.
Matt, protective cutie pie, Dan, such a badass, Renee, who still is the most mysterious of them all. I even liked Allison and Seth! ( I felt so so so sad for his death! )
The Coach and Abby were pretty cool, aswell.
I loved how they were all protective of Neil.
I adored the Foxes' messed up bonds and romance, while non-existent for now, made me crave for the next ones with all my heart.
So I think I'll dive into the next one ASAP.
I need to know what happens next! *excited*
