I've never been one for fantasy novels like this, I'm slowly easing my way in, though. For one of my first books of this nature, I already know it will be one of my favorites. It's been a while since a story had grabbed me like this.
The characters are fantastic (compelling and realistically flawed) and their world is fascinating.
I'm very close to rushing to work (Barnes & Noble) on my day off to get the sequel, because I don't know if I can wait for my next shift to continue this series!
