Viper by Suzanne Wright

5.0

“The life I led was dark and dull and left me feeling dead. Until you.”

I don’t precisely want to say this ^ is how I felt before this book, but I am so obsessed with it. It is quite possibly my favorite book in this series. It has definitely topped some of my favorite Suzanne Wright books! We get some amazing content from this one, y’all:

Viper
the additional world-building
new characters
Luka
The final chapter (Lou!)
Paranormal motorcycle club

Viper is, just, oh man. It’s been a while since I’ve had a new book boyfriend, but Viper is definitely it for me.

He’s so hot:
“Believe me when I say I am going to fucking defile you tonight.”

powerful:
An image shot to the forefront of his mind. An image of every single one of those patrons dead, their throats slit, their bodies gutted, their blood everywhere.

and obsessed with Ella:
“I was drowning, Ella. Drowning in darkness. You pulled me out of it. There’s nothing I wouldn’t have given up to be with you.”

Ella was also everything I had been wanting, since getting that first hint of who she is in the first book of this series. I love that we actually see her do her work, as weird as that may sound, because we also get a lot of world-building in this book.

AND THE SIDE CHARACTERS! Okay, first of all, we get to see some of our faves from the rest of this series. And, we also see Viper’s wacked out crew. I mean, they are so ridiculously funny. They’re also #teamVella and it was so cute to see how invested they were in Viper and Ella.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, Luka! Luka, Luka, Luka. Istg I think Luka might even top Viper for me and we didn’t even get his POV.

I really could keep going with how much I love this book. I could’ve highlighted every little scene. Did in fact highlight every time Viper thought the phrase “his woman” (exactly 20 times). But I don’t want to give too much more away. Just read it.
