Star Wars #8 by Charles Soule, Carlo Pagulayan

4.5 stars. While the actual plot lacked some logic to it, the writing and characterization of Ellian Zahra more than made up for it. She's quickly putting herself up there with other notorious Imperial villains for me, like Moff Gideon and Admiral Thrawn. She has that iciness about her and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty--the trophy wall in her office we caught a glimpse of at the end is proof enough (and kinda reminded me of Thrawn's art collection). I'm loving her obsession with Leia, wanting to get revenge on her for Tarkin's death. ((Vague spoilers: It's kind of ironic that she completely passes Luke by when he was the one that actually pulled the trigger. I hope we get some epic showdowns between all three of them in the future because the one in this issue left something to be desired for me, although that was probably the point haha))
Potential trigger warnings: Blood, trophy wall of beheaded animals, canon-typical war and violence
