This was one of the more realistic romances I’ve read in a while. It was so refreshing to see real, adult communication between ALL characters. No infuriating miscommunication that could’ve been resolved with a simple conversation. These characters laid it all out there.
We got to see some real growth in Tori’s relationships with both Adam and her brother, Cole. While this was a romance, the love story wasn’t the sole focus. It was sort of Insta-Love but didn’t seem forced or unbelievable, especially since they had been childhood friends. There were other plotlines that gave the story more depth as well.

Speaking of, the last 25% of the book was pretty intense and really picked up the pace. I’m usually pretty good at guessing the “bad buy” but there were no hints given about their identity up until everything started going down.

All in all, this was an enjoyable read and I can’t wait for the next in the series!
