A half baked attempt to combine Coraline and The Haunting of Hill House. Only thing that kept me motivated to read was Death, who was barley featured and was a surface level antagonist. Wish this book could have instead been about Olivia’s parents. 

Considering my huge enjoyment of the author’s other book Vicious, and my similar poor experience with Addie Larue, I think Schwab should stick to writing about villain characters.
