This book had sooo much potential in my eyes, but the writing style from the very first page threw me completely off unfortunately. I just could not get behind the seemingly disjointed sentence structure and overuse of metaphors and similes - i think i’m just not use to it, but I was rolling myself half the time at the literary devices. Like when you get marked down in school for using TOO many similes, that’s what this book felt like.

I simply could not get into it. And the random sexual chemistry fully threw me off and felt disconnected to the rest of the novel.

Besides that, the book did get better towards the end in terms of story. I did get sad when
Silas carks it
and felt happy at the end of the book. Everything was wrapped up very nicely which I enjoyed
