This book was so dang good y’all! I haven’t come across a @sharilapena book I haven’t enjoyed tho. I looked and I’ve given them all 5 stars that I’ve read so far.

This book had me hooked and so engrossed throughout. I just had to know who did it! And why. But I had an inkling the whole time but there were so red herrings that kept throwing me off making me suspect many!

There’s a lot of horribleness that comes out in this story and it begs the question of why? Why are people like this? Why is it ok to not believe? Women/girls are so often victims and not believed or they sweep it under the rug because they feel they have no power. No one listens. And people of authority ignore. There’s a reason women are always in fear and I wish it wasn’t that way.

Anyways. I really enjoyed this book. It’s been awhile since I fully loved a book so that was nice. The narration was well done and I loved that it had multiple narrators for each different perspective. I also liked that they had a POV of the victim (after being killed) that was interesting.

Definitely recommend grabbing this one or listening to the audio!
