I enjoyed this story as a whole, but felt like the pacing was really off. I am totally fine with the slowest of slow burns, but I didn’t like that the first half of the book was super slow and basically nothing happened, with very minimal pining, and then the second half just went super quick. I thought we’d have more time surround the competitions and was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to read about them competing together really.
But the banter was superb and I loved the family dynamics and conversations surrounding self esteem. Happy I read it but probably won’t reread any time soon.
