Takeover: Hitler's Final Rise to Power by Timothy W. Ryback

informative slow-paced

3.0

This is a very in-the-weeds, almost day-by-day recounting of the year leading up to Hitler being appointed chancellor. There's a lot of lessons to be learned in the breakdown of politics, the hollowing out of the center, and the fact of an aging President losing the ability to resist. It's definitely for those who are very into the power deals and backroom brokering of politics. If you're into that, this book is for you!
