After reading Sincerely, Your Inconvenient Wife, I was hoping for one thing: that Clara would get her happily ever after after dealing with the trauma left behind by Miller. Julia Wolf fulfilled my wish with In the Details.
I was delighted to find Clara and a toddler Nellie. In fact, the book starts with a bang and you know right away what to expect—and you won’t be disappointed. The tension between Clara and Jake is electric and we know there’s more going on between them than just a few evenings together, even if they don’t admit it to themselves at first.
I really liked the relationship between Clara and Jake—even though they have trouble communicating at certain points because of the scars left by their past relationships—but I also really liked the relationship between Jake and Nellie—Carla’s daughter—and the one between Clara and Sage—Jake’s daughter. They form a very lovable blended family.
I can’t wait to discover Shira’s story in By the Letter, the second book in the Mile High Billionaires series.
