I Can Be a Better You by Tarryn Fisher

3.0

I would have loved the story to focus more on Fig and Mercy as it was set up in the opening. There was a shift from the “bad mommy” plot, and it never came back to it once the husband came into the picture. The voice seemed to change entirely. It was a shame. The way Fig struggled with her evolving and changing fixations was interesting.

There were a couple of things that were never shown on the page that kept being brought up like Fig’s husband George. I thought he was a figment of her imagination, but he was real and just never shown until the end. It was overall strange.

Anyway, I was entertained till the end. The ending was offensively underwhelming.
