THIS IS A TOP BOOK OF 2022 FOR ME!!!
I cannot stop thinking about it - it’s literally consuming my every thought 😭❤️
was this book completely and totally cheesy and predictable? yes. was it everything I absolutely needed to hear in my life at the moment? YES YES YES.
for the past two years, I’ve been having the biggest quarter life crisis, feeling lost and sad, and then I lost my dad a few months ago. meeting florence, going through almost identical situations, was like seeing myself in the mirror 🥹
except for the fact that you know … florence can see ghosts …
I had no idea how this book was going to end (except for my biggest complaint that a certain ✨ someone ✨ didn’t appear at the end). and I absolutely loved every second of it.
ashley’s writing is absolutely beautiful, and she totally gets what it feels like to want to shoulder everything (including the grief) yourself. it nestled itself in my heart and stayed there for probably months to come (if I’m just estimating 😅)
while the plot was a mix of GHOST, LAYLA, and BOOK LOVERS all in one, I couldn’t get enough of it - and basically binged it in one day!!
if you relate to any of this review, GIVE THIS ONE A CHANCE! I cried, I laughed, I grieved, and I healed ❤️ thank you for writing books that speak to individuals so well 🫶🏼
