I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai
5.0
I Am Malala is another hard yet incredibly important book. It´s educating and emotive and Malala as a person is so courageous, smart and outspoken. The book succeeds in being informative in an accessible way (I didn´t really know anything about the situation in Palestine and am now much more educated on the subject) while keeping the focus on the people and their experiences. I Am Malala tells one girl´s story, but also a much wider one, about a whole nation, a whole gender even. This can definitely be called a feminist piece of work and I loved it for that. In the future I´ll be following more closely what Malala decides to do during her life - I´m sure it´ll be something quite amazing.
