This book was #me the whole way through. I basically was reading about my teen years and how I felt being a huge book nerd who was interested in sci-fi and fantasy novels and didn’t really connect well with other people unless they were oddballs too. It reminded me of when I had started middle school and still wanted to play make believe and make mermaid tails to swim in and pretend I was a mermaid or a queen of Narnia in a long dress when everyone else around me had started to “grow up” and not want to play anymore. Morwenna reminded me so much of how books truly shape who you are. They are your escape and your shield so as long as you have a good book you are safe and wherever you want to be.
