There were some sloppy mistakes that I noticed, but not as much as in other books of this type. For example, when she escapes through a hidden door, it's never mentioned that she closes it.

I absolutely hate the covers of the books though. They completely give off the wrong vibe. Why the preppy clothing? And I don't remember reading about a black cat anywhere? Nor the white dress or all black clothing for that matter.

Apart from that, a very quick and easy read with a lot of sarcasm.
