My Darling Girl by Jennifer McMahon
5.0
Absolutely devoured this book. It had its creepy moments and the ending-- fabulous.
McMahon has become an autoread author for me. Ever since The Invited, I have been picking up every new release she writes, as well as, making my way through her backlist.
This book surrounds Allison and her family. Not having a great childhood, she is shocked to hear that her dying mother wants to stay with her. After taking in her dying mother, strange things begin happening around the house.
At no point did this book move slowly for me, and how the story unfolds is absolutely fantastic. Again, this book had its super creepy moments. It was a good mix of light horror and suspense as I truly needed to know how this book would end. As I said above-- that ending??? Perfectly executed.
Highly recommend.
