I read this book when the new Bridgerton came out. Honestly, the way this describes the time period is genius - historically correct or not, I don’t care (obviously, Bridgerton is far from accurate either). The drugs, the parties, the powerplays… this felt both absurd and absolutely believable to me. I loved how dark it got while managing to keep its humor throughout. 

Only criticism: The love interest - just NO. Stop showing up for the rescue all the time Darcy-style, I’m over it. Perfect men are exhausting.
