Vipers and Virtuosos by Sav R. Miller
5.0
"I'll choose his warmth, even if it means getting burned. At least when you're on fire, you know you're alive."
5/5 ⭐ (DARK ROMANCE, 18+ || CHECK TW)
DID I FINISH THIS IN A DAY?? You bet your ass I did. It was seriously THAT GOOD!! I couldn't put this down. The premise was sooo different and I loved every bit of it. And getting to see a little bit of Kal from the first book? Icing on the cake.
I think dark romances with stalkers may be a new favorite trope of mine to read... and I'm not sure what that says about me, but let's move on.
THE TATTOO SCENE IN THE BEGINNING? HAD MY LEGS QUAKING AND KNEES SHAKING. That scene was so irresistibly HOT. I will never look at getting a tattoo the same, ever again.
ALSO - we shall take just a moment to talk about the main character, Riley. My heart BROKE for her, but the way she stood her ground and was as fierce as can be? I was rooting for her. Her struggles with her scars on her body and face really broke me (maybe because that's relatable to a degree?) but when Aiden changed her perspective on her scars? That lit my heart on fucking fire.
IS THIS BOOK SPICY? HELL YES AND IT WAS SO DAMN GOOD SOUP.
