Ok, I enjoyed it but I feel like it had more potential, specially how the plot was handled. I would say there is a main plot carmilla'a and De LaFontaine's relationship and a side plot iris' awakening . The first one didn't really go anywhere, there's a kinda, not really, redemption arc that shouldn't be there in my opinion, and the second one was kinda underwhelming... I just felt like the stakes didn't actually feel that high yes, she killed people and yet the main characters didnt feel that afected by it or willing to stop it
For me both Carmilla and Laura fell flat after the halfway mark, they stopped doing things and just kinda... where there?
The writing I quite liked and the rivalry between Laura and Carmilla and the development in their relationship as well. And the set up is great, I really enjoyed the first half of the book.
