Die Eule, die gern aus dem Wasserhahn trank: Mein Leben mit Mumble by Sabine Hübner, Martin Windrow
3.0
I enjoyed this book.
For whatever reason, I thought that this book is about a man who found an injured owl, nursed it back to health and the owl couldn't go back into the wild and therefore lived with the man. I don't know how I got this into my head because this hasn't been implied anywhere. Therefore, I've been a bit 'Hmmmmm' when I read that the man just wanted an owl and held it in a flat/balcony on the 7th floor in London. -.- Which, even when the owl never knew the wild and has been handraised, is a bit of a 'nope' for me. Later in the book, I learned that he moved out of London two years or so after he got Mumble and with that in mind, I could deal with the beginning situation.
I enjoyed reading about Mumble and her antics and behaviour but even more I enjoyed the chapters about owls in general. How they live. How they hunt. How they raise their young. How the look like and how they probably came to be. That's been very interesting for me.
All in all a nice read.
