Are You Listening? by Tillie Walden

5.0

This was such a profoundly beautiful and touching story. A bit Twilight Zone, a bit Thelma and Louise, and a little [a:Laura Ruby|73699|Laura Ruby|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/f_50x66-6a03a5c12233c941481992b82eea8d23.png], this book is such an incredible snowglobe of grief and friendship and fear and love and beauty and mystery. I may have liked it even more than [b:On a Sunbeam|36952615|On a Sunbeam|Tillie Walden|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1524076164l/36952615._SX50_.jpg|54030155], which I loved with my whole heart. Every ounce of this perfectly encapsulates so much feeling in such a minute space, and Walden's art style adds such depth and wonder to each moment. A new favorite.
