Holy fuck, this book was amazing! I picked it up on a whim and truly loved it so much. April May is a terrible person but such a good main character. She’s funny and witty and deeply flawed but aware of it and trying to do better but then doesn’t bit learns from mistakes. Seriously, seeing her growth throughout the book and her story was really great.
The whole concept of space aliens coming to earth in the form of massive statues was really cool. The dream was cool. This was a smart and really good book. I did most of it on audio, but read some on my kindle and the different forms of media (tweets, interviews, articles, transcripts, etc) that are scattered throughout make the book feel really interactive and keep you interested. The cliff hanger that this book ends on had me reeling and reaching for the second one immediately. Honestly can’t recommend this one enough.
