Tea for Two and a Piece of Cake by Preeti Shenoy

While browsing through CROSSWORDS (I always try and visit one of their stors when I am in India), looking to pick up some books, the cover and title of this book caught my attention. On reading the description, I decided to give it a try. I generally don't read a lot of Indian authors but I am always looking to try them out and maybe find a few favorites.

So with much anticipation, the book started well, it was going ok, I am still open to the plot without passing an opinion and keep on reading trying not to judge the writing and put it in the same box as my other disappointments of reading various such books.

Here we go, for once the plot was mature. The character developments, good to a point. The pace was not smooth . The interactions between the characters kind of felt off which made the whole reading experience like it was lacking that spark of interest one would need to devour a book.

I kind of finished the book on a low.

I may try some other books by the author before deciding whether I like the author's reading or not.
