I listened to this on audible and I need to start this review by saying it was performed by two narrators. One performed the voice of Clara, and one did the voice for Megan. Megan's 'voice' was absolutely awful. The narrator spoke like a robot. For a book with so much emotion and feeling, it was like half the book was read by Alexa. I hated it.
The story itself is really emotional. We have the story of Megan. She was in a relationship with Chris as a teenager and fell pregnant at 17. Her sister,
Jenny, is in a relationship with Chris' best friend Jonah. Years later, a tragic turn of events has a huge impact. The story followsxMegan and also her daughter Clara in her relationship with Miller. Its an emotional read with some lovely characters. I wish I'd stopped the audio and switched to a book to be honest.
