Manwhore by Katy Evans

5.0

I've read this series in its entirety at least four times, if not more, and I still fall in love with Rachel and Malcolm.

5 years later and I am still thoroughly enamoured by this story. Every time I pick this series up, a part of me always hopes that Ms. Evans would pull a 'Remy' and give us a novella. There are so many instances that I would love to read from his eyes just so that I can get into his head and understand him a little more and maybe, a glimpse of him and Rachel in the future.

Before the release of Manwhore, I always claimed that Remington Tate would be my favourite Katy Evans hero and that no one could take his place but Malcolm Kyle Preston Saint swooped in with this four names and filled the first position and hasn't left my 'Top Favourite Hero's' list.

Malcolm Saint is shrewd and an alpha male but what pulled me to him was his quiet but lethal nature. He knows when to strike and where to strike. He is a hunter and that makes him all the more ruthless in business.

Rachel Livingston is a favourite too. She is an independent woman who stands for what she believes in. She has the 'I need to change the world' streak and through her medium as a journalist, she wishes to reach more people and not only inspire them but let them know that they are not alone.
Of course, There were a few moments, especially towards the end where I wanted to shake her. Do I understand why she did what she did? Yes.
Do I agree with it? No.

Having had next to zero male influences in her life in the form of a father, bother or even friends or boyfriends, it was fun to see her navigate the instant carnal attraction she had towards Saint.

Rachel and Saint have insane chemistry and when Rachel allowed herself to let go and give in to that attraction it got even better! Saint is a sensuous person, while Rachel is timid and reserved and the combination of these two was perfect for me.

Even though we finish on a cliffhanger, I loved the ending and the wait was killing for the second book because when your favourite couple is at a crossroads you need to know what is going to happen.

Malcolm Saint is my main man and Manwhore was and still is an unputdownable read for me.
