When Alec Met Evie by Jenny Proctor
5.0
I am not ready to admit this is the end of this series. There are still so many Appies that need HEAs so I’m going to tell myself that eventually they’ll show up somewhere.
Evie is a new mom & after a horrible divorce she decides to move hours away from everything she has known to become a luthier (someone who makes and repairs stringed instruments). She knows one person in this new town of hers, Alec….her best friend’s older brother, her childhood crush, and a very popular pro hockey player. She thinks that crush is way behind her, until she seems him again. To be fair the minute he sees her and Juno I think immediately falls head over heels even if he can’t admit that yet. He is so sweet with both of them & seeing him go from someone who has never thought about a future after hockey to only being able to think about a future that includes the two of them made me feel all warm & fuzzy.
This one is closed door so there aren’t any super steamy scenes but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still feel the chemistry between these two with every page. These two were perfect for each other and I loved how supportive Alec’s sister was of their relationship over being a hurdle they have to jump over to get to their HEA.
