the first 100 pages were okay, then the middle part was absolutely stunning, and the ending was kind of confusing. i even teared up while reading some of the pages (that’s my personal trauma-healing process!) 
i feel there’s something missing though. the writing was very “strict”(???) maybe it’s because

all these extraordinary things are new to Jonas and the author through her writing wanted to show that he does not completely fathom what surrounds him, he doesn’t feel attached to everything YET

the last 50 pages were too rushed, in my opinion. still, i needed this book, so i’ll be thinking about it for some time!
