Monday's Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson

5.0

Tiffany D. Jackson stole my heart when she wrote Allegedly. And now she has done it again.

If you are someone like me who adores young adult lit, true crime stories, and anything that lands in between these two subjects this book is for you.

Jackson has a way of weaving a story that is haunting, troubling, raw and straight to the bone. When a young girl goes missing from a poor housing community her friend is the only one who knows something is wrong. Everyone else sums it up to something menial.

This is a story that explores the way people of colour and low SES communities can be treated differently, even in the most dire of circumstances. It will steal your heart and keep you guessing to the very end.
