Lovely story. Tear-jerker at times. Much like a coming-of-age story but with our main character a 69 year old widower who sets out to learn the mysteries of his late wife's family. Full of interesting and touching encounters as he interacts with the world he's held at bay for the year since his wife's death, and, he learns, many years before that.
