Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
5.0
I would really like to write a proper review of this, but I'm afraid I couldn't do it without giving away spoilers, and since it barely just came out, I think it will have to wait.
It was a really good conclusion to the trilogy. slightly different than the first two. As in the first two books. though, it was deeply focused on how Katniss deals with the situations she is put in, physically and more importantly, emotionally, even more so in this book I think.
It's messy and raw in places, tugging at your emotions.
This series never failed to make me cry. Sometimes its world felt to real, too tragic, too close to home for me to handle.
I really really liked it.
On a side note: I wish authors (especially YA) would stop doing epilogues. While the one in this book was fine, it just never feels right with me. I certaintly did not dislike this one as much as I disliked the one in Harry Potter 7, though (I really did not like it).
