Not an easy read, but a powerful one.

I'm not going to comment on the controversy, just on the fact that I cared so much about the characters, was sucked into their journey very quickly, and came away with more understanding and empathy for others in the world.

Content: it doesn't contain any explicit sexual scenes, but it does talk about/imply rape often and has many descriptively violent scenes and some language (including the occasional f word).
