Fake It 'til You Make Out by Isla Olsen

So…this isn’t my first book by the author & I do really like their writing style. But it loses a star because of how However, I was very surprised & unhappy with the decision on how Declan got off scott free from his “being a good friend & kissing him bc he got scared day before results, but def don’t tell anyone especially your boyfriend” orange f$&#ing flag & how Declan had the audacity to think Heath was in the wrong & simply didn’t trust him 😳🙄Sorry just no, irl this doesn’t work & on page it doesn’t either & ALL authors need to stop doing this.
Now, I love Dec & Heath together & I definitely love the friends-to-lovers trope & up until this so called miscommunication which in fact was outright lies of omission really make it hard for me to suspend belief. Declan SHOULD have followed through not only on his gut feeling about keeping Josh’s condition from Heath but also his thought about that kiss, really lowered him down quite a few pegs.
Anyway, Joel Leslie did a fantastic job narrating per usual!! Listened via Anyplay.
