Somnophilia was clearly listed in the trigger warnings for this book so I can't say that it wasn't expected but I just couldn't with this book when our primary antagonist drugged the protag then proceeded to sexually assault her whilst she was asleep. I felt physically sick and for the sake of my own sanity and just general peace, I decided that a DNF was the right course of action. I feel as though labelling this scene as somnophilia is disingenuous because this was very clearly something that was happening without consent from the protag. Nope nope nope.

A smaller point of issue I had with this story was that I couldn't see any reason why the characters had to be of high school age and making them such made for an additionally uncomfortable read because at the point I got in the story, it had not clarified whether these characters were minors or not.

Yeah, this book is just very much not for me on a whole heap of counts.
