“You’re a protector, Silas. Not a hurter. If anything, I feel safe when I’m around you. I trust you and your intentions, even if skewed at times by the hurt that rests tightly on your chest.” ~ Ollie Owens

This book was cute and had some funny moments, but certain parts were annoying. I didn't like how women were pitted against each other. I would have liked to see Silas and Ollie's common interests explored more. A 21-year-old and a 31-year-old can have things in common and work well in relationships, but we were never really shown what they shared that made them work. I saw the twist coming from the start, which made the ending a bit annoying for me.

However, I loved Ross as a side character. He was supportive and an honest friend, and I enjoyed his side romance with Ian. The spice scenes were amazing, and as always, I loved the banter between the bros (hahaha).

I did end up enjoying the banter between Silas and Ollie, but sometimes Ollie came off as immature and trying too hard. Some parts could have been done better. As a romcom, I genuinely enjoyed my time with the book, but it’s maybe not the first one in the series I would recommend.
