Ahhhh I lovedddd Jamison and Scarlett so much!!
Another beautiful start to a small-town series. This one-night stand turned workplace enemies to lovers gave me everything I wanted and more! When Scarlett is forced to sign away the rights and ownership to her grandfather's lodge, she is absolutely distraught. She put so much of her life into it, and she now has no clue what to do next. She's just looking to have a couple of drinks and blow off some steam from her day when Mr.Mysterious - Jamison - comes in and sits next to her. One thing leads to another, and they are both under the impression that this one-night stand will lead nowhere after the night is over. This, despite both of them being able to get the other out of their heads, takes a turn when Scarlett discovers it was Jamison who bought the lodge.
From the start, Jamison is on board and loves that he gets to see Scarlett again, but Scarlett doesn't really feel the same. Scarlett is difficult and uncooperative in this transfer of the lodge to Jamison. Even though she tries her best, eventually things get heated and she can't deny it anymore.
Jamison had me swooning left and right! That man was just so good!! I understand Scarlett and her hesitance in wanting to pursue Jamison even if she enjoyed their one night together. She always had a lot of responsibilities and she was lost in this moment of where her life was leading her.
Overall, LOVED the small town/lodge vibes. All the stolen moments, forced proximity, and endless banter made this book so easy to read! It took me a little bit to get into it, but once I was in it, I could not put it down.
Not to mention Jamison loved dogs and fell first?! SO GOOD! I also loved the little cameo of Jamison's brother - from Autumn Nights! I can't wait to see what comes next out of this small town and see how all of Scarlett's brothers find their happily ever after!
