This Is How We End Things by R.J. Jacobs

5.0

This is How We End Things is a dark look at academia and a true psychological thriller. It is written by a psychologist and is about a graduate psychology department and a research project about what causes people to lie. An experiment that goes totally off the rails when a subject over reacts to the “fake” stress they present him with and who becomes violent. Then someone is murdered. While I eventually figured out who the murderer was, I still really enjoyed the rest of the book as the action really ramped up and we learned lots of secrets about all involved. Highly recommended, especially for fans of Riley Sager.
