I had to read this for school and I could barely get through it. My biggest problem is just that I didn’t really like his writing style. Others may enjoy it though. I can see how this plot would be entertaining to someone that enjoyed his style of writing.

(I read it in german so I don’t know about how good the translations of the book are.)
