Owen is the third book in series featuring the STORM men/organization. Owen has been in love with Laya forever she is Tate’s younger sister. He had refrained from getting involved with her but on her 18th birthday he gave her his mother’s necklace and he took her innocence. Laya thought he was now willing to acknowledge her, their love and begin a relationship imagine her shock when she finds out he is engaged to someone else. Owen pretended to be engaged because he wanted Laya to go off to college and live her life. Three years later Laya returns telling Owen and her family that not only is she married but she’s pregnant as well. Owen the security expert is floored but still willing to accept Laya and her baby but she is committed to her marriage. This book takes a dark turn when we realize what kind of man Laya really married and what kind of shady stuff he was mixed up in. Just as in all B J Alpha’s books the dirty talk is extremely hot and the spice is off the charts. These men know no bounds when it comes to their women. Owen was possessive and controlling and because of his insecurity he let the love of his life get swept up into something dangerous. Laya was a little annoying because how do you not know or be aware of what dirty stuff your husband is doing. I know that her love for Owen initially blinded her to her husband’s faults but when a child is involved you have to be aware of what could harm your child. I loved this book as I have loved the previous two. I’m incredibly anxious to read Mase and Reed’s books because they are so mysterious.
