My sister recommended this book to me. She gave it a spice rating of 1 🌶️? This is in the top 3 most graphic books I’ve read. Like 🌶️🌶️🌶️ at least. Also new to the shifter thing so all the dog stuff was a lot. I would say it is underwhelming but not necessarily poorly written. It finds its rhythm fairly quickly and is an easy read. My sister read all of them and told me that this is her least favorite one but I had to start here anyway. Not sure I’ll pick up the others, but she really loved them. The FMC was pretty cringy but I can’t do too much on her in a post-Bella Swan society. Howeverrrrr, I will say that she and her wolf together definitely give two dumb bitches telling each other exactlyyyyyy. The MMC is meant to be a brute with a (super secret) heart of gold which I found a little more compelling, except in his execution of his newly rebuilt pack society. His basic ass needed a mate so bad. They don’t know what ice cream is, his throne is a metal folding chair, and all the males do is fight and go to the gym. The males were giving the male gazorpians from Rick and Morty. I was rooting for Una to run away with her friends and start a badass female-run super-pack society, but alas, that was not her journey.
