Really good sci-fi. Great start to a series Im Excited to read

Teens get a weird illness causing them to go manic depressed and kill themselves to the government wipes all the bad memories (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless) and people from their minds. Sloane and her bf James both get taken. Part 1 of the books is leading up to her getting taken, Part 2 is while she is there and "befriended" by a guy named Michael Realm. Part 3 is her attempted integration back into society and remeeting James
