One Last Stop is not the girl version of Red, White And Royal Blue.
I loved RW&RB and went into Casey McQuiston's second novel, One Last Stop, blind. And ended up loving it as much, or more.
It's like a queer Somewhere In Time meets Lost!
August is a university student in New York City when she meets Jane on the Q line subway. Attraction is swift but something is askew about Jane - she doesn't know current pop culture, newsworthy events or use modern technology. Same outfit every day. And always on the same train, regardless of time of day, going nowhere.
One Last Stop is a unique rom-com with a mystery undertone and a touch of paranormal. But don't let these elements detract you!
Absolutely fantastic characters and well-constructed plotline make this one of my top reads of the year, declared though it's only halfway through the year.
It took me a bit to get into the story, but once I was invested I couldn't read it fast enough.
So whip up a Su Special from Pancake Billy's House Of Pancakes and grab this book - recommended!
