The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak

Is there a thing as your YA era? I am in it. Yes, I am twice as old as the targeted age range (cries in middle age) but I love the books so much. I love YA romance, YA thrillers, and YA horror. There is just something about them that just works for me. They’re a complete escape. Maybe I’m hanging onto my youth as I get close to a milestone birthday, but hey, it’s fine.

Stella and Oliver were so cute. Their meet-cute was so fun and really set the tone for the rest of the book. I loved the banter that they had between them, it was a lot of fun. I laughed-out-loud at certain points because it was so funny. I really think that the author captured what humor is like for teenagers, especially teenage boys. I really enjoyed that Stella was one of a triplet, and her sister was suffering from cancer. It really helped bring some other emotions into the reading experience but it was sad at times, so be prepared this isn’t just a light, fluffy romance, there is some depth.

If you are looking for a YA romance, that is very sweet, but will also bring you to tears, then you need to read this one.

Thank you to @sourcebooksfire and @authoralinovak for sending me this fun pr box. All thoughts are my own.
