The Paris Predicament by Lexi Haddock
4.0
The Paris Predicament by Lexi Haddock is book two in the Sparks in Paris series and it was so cute. I really need to go read book one since I loved this book so much!! If you love slow burn, love triangle, friends to lovers, closed door, rom-com, takes place in Paris then you will love this book!!
It’s the summer of 2,000, Lila, heartbroken from being left at the alter, decides to take a trip to Paris to visit her bff Callie and her husband Julien. While in Paris she meets Philippe Julien’s best friend. They have met a few times before, but something about this trip was different. They are inseparable in Paris, still reeling from her breakup she decides it’s too soon for her to be in a relationship. She heads back to home to Washington D.C. but they continue to keep in touch via AOL messenger. Back home she meets Sam but he’s not important, Phillippe comes to visit Lila, she realizes that maybe, just maybe she could have more than friendship feelings for Phillippe.
Lexi did such a great job with this story. They used AOL messenger and it brought back memories of being in high school when it just came out. I love this plot and storyline. I thought she did a great job with the characters. Lila, Callie, and Emilie are the friendships we all want. I liked Phillippe, loved their friendship, and how protective he is of Lila. I love how strong Lila is instead of crawling into bed and falling into depression, she packed her bags flew to Paris and surrounded herself with her friends who loved her to heal. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to go back to read the first book. Thank you to Lexi Haddock and Love Book Tours for sending me a physical copy of the book in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
