The disclaimer for this book showcases the story perfectly. I loved Mr. Masters & Mr. Spencer, but I found the pacing of this book to be a bit off for me. There is a 6 year time jump fairly early on in the book, and there is so much on again, off again, I hate you, I want to love you, don't leave me, get the heck out that I kind of got whiplash. This is an age-gap, second chance romance, but halfway through this book I was questioning whether are not these two should be together at all.

Positives: Happily Ever After, Dual Point of View, Spice

Weirdness aside, I did finish this book fairly quickly, despite it being over 400 pages of weird, and it did get me out of my reading slump. I've read a lot of TL Swan and the best piece of advice I have still applies with this book: don't read too much into things and just take them for what they are, you'll enjoy them more that way!
