Pasko Na, My Love, A Holiday Romance Anthology by Mia Hopkins, Maida Malby, Sarah Smith, Elle Cruz, Tif Marcelo, Maan Gabriel
4.0
Pasko Na, My Love is written by six Filipino romance authors and ft. six interconnected stories which I all enjoyed and adored.
WHAT I LIKED
First, the idea of an anthology with a shared theme + interconnected characters with relatable stories is just perfection.
Though the narration varies per author, that is understandable since each has their own writing style and characters should have their distinct voice given their respective backstory.
The holiday vibes is also giving. All of PNML stories include scenes that happened during the celebration of Lola Naty Moore’s 100th birthday celebration in Hacienda Luz and it was filled with Christmas elements along with Filipino and Fil-Am food and cultural references.
I won’t be able to write a review per short story but I can honestly say that I enjoyed all six of them but I have favorites like So It’s You by Maida Malby and My Only Love by Maan Gabriel.
Overall, it was a great reading experience and definitely a recommended holiday read if you’re looking for a swoonworthy (and spicy) read
